A water level is only as good as the datum behind it. We survey flood gauges and low-cost sensors with whichever method suits the site: RTK GNSS, laser levels or traditional dumpy level runs. Every survey is tied to State survey marks and AHD, and turn the result into the offsets and trigger levels your warning system runs on.
Surveys are delivered with a clear report: marks used, observed levels, sensor offsets, and the road, culvert and bridge deck levels that matter when water starts rising. Where a site already has records, we check them against the survey and flag anything that has moved.

Low-cost gauge surveys, South East Queensland (2026)
For a council’s low-cost flood gauge network we surveyed each site with an RTK GNSS rover on GDA2020, tied to the nearest State survey mark. Sensor heights above the creek-bed zero were updated from the survey, and alarm levels were set from surveyed road and deck levels, with any suspect observations re-checked before they were used.
